~Appearing in Court for one appearance only (typically a motion session or pre-trial conference)

~Assisting client with discovery (either preparing requests or responses)

~Drafting a separation agreement

~Attending mediation with a client and/or providing advice through the mediation process

~Preparing a case for trial (drafting exhibits, motions, subpoenas, and the like)

A detailed agreement will be worked out such that you are clear as to what your responsibilities will be, as well as what duties the Attorney will perform.

It is important to keep in mind that if you choose to represent yourself for the entire case or part of the case, you are expected to learn the relevant law and procedure. If you are not confident in your ability to represent yourself, you should hire an attorney.

Limited Assistance Representation provides you the opportunity to continue to represent yourself in some aspects while having a skilled attorney assist you in the areas you are not confident.
